Wax and Wane
This triptych was part of a larger group show at Artscape Youthplace on the topic of Natural Cycles.
In a universe that is constantly evolving, progress is not always linear. Each feature in our world plays an important part in a much larger cycle of events that can span moments, lifetimes and countless millennia. Wax & Wane aims to unpack preconceived notions of the cyclical progression of life, and to evaluate our role in both naturally occurring and socially constructed routines. These pieces create a comparison of natural events at three different scopes, ranging from microscopic, human level and cosmological.
