My name is Marisha Laine.

I make art in Toronto, Canada, where I’ve been studying illustration for the past few years at OCADU.

About my art:

My pieces are warm and whimsical, with an emphasis on simplified form and rhythmic composition. A couple years ago, I fell in love with acrylic gouache (after struggling with it for some time), and slowly created my own technique by mixing in other media, like pastel.

Recently, I’ve been making a lot of functional art, constantly discovering new ways to integrate my illustration with everyday objects. In collaboration with my friend and fellow Illustrator, I’ve started a small studio called Maybe Later. If you like my illustrations, you should definitely check it out!
